Future of the Profession:
In the Medical Laboratory sector, laboratories belonging to private and public organizations are increasing day by day. In the past years, since there were no personnel trained in Medical Laboratory in these departments, personnel were recruited from high school graduates or departments such as Chemistry and Biology. However, private organizations now prefer people who they can employ at lower wages than 4-year school graduates, and especially those who have a 2-year Medical Laboratory education, in their workplaces. This situation is confirmed by the fact that a large percentage of graduates of the Medical Laboratory department find employment in this field. Therefore, it is expected that this department and its graduates will be more valuable in the future.
