LABORATORY USE PROCEDURE

The practical courses of this program are held in the polyclinic-archive-laboratory and administrative sections of our University Research and Practice Hospital.

General Information

The aim of this program is to train intermediate manpower in the administrative services of other institutions and organizations, especially health institutions, and to constitute the first stage of undergraduate education in the profession.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED IN STUDENTS

Physical Characteristics: It is believed that graduates of this department should not have any physical disabilities to fulfill the duties required by their profession, and that they can also successfully perform duties appropriate to the physical ailments of people with physical disabilities.

Aptitude: Must be interested in office services, skilled in documenting information, prone to tasks requiring manual dexterity and patience, have proper diction, be successful in human relations, and have the ability to perceive patient psychology.

Interest: Must have an interest in computers, office equipment and machines, other automation devices, foreign languages ​​and medical terminology.

Internship Practices and Duration During Education in College:

Title and field of work of those who complete the program: Health Technician (They can also use the title of Medical Secretary with the decision numbered 92.26.698 of the YÖK Executive Board.)

Job Opportunities: Provided that they pass the KPSS exam and are appointed, they can work as Medical Secretary, Patient Consultant, Patient File Archivist and Management Secretary in Public Institutions and Organizations and Private Health Institutions and Organizations in this sector.

The Future of the Profession: Medical Documentation and Secretarial Services, a profession that serves as a bridge between physicians and patients, will reduce the time physicians spend on administrative tasks, allowing them to dedicate more time to patients and medical science. Because of its understanding of patient psychology, it can guide patients, increasing patient satisfaction and, consequently, institutional efficiency. As a developing profession both globally and in Turkey, it represents an indispensable intermediate workforce in the healthcare sector.
