  *Unit Quality and Accreditation Teams consist of at least seven individuals from various departments, determined by the Heads of Faculties, Institutes, Colleges, Vocational Schools, and Conservatories in academic units. These individuals include a Unit Quality Commission member, a Unit Quality Representative, administrative staff, active students, and alumni.
*Unit Quality and Accreditation Teams in administrative units and Research Centers, if applicable, consist of a Quality Commission member, a Unit Quality Representative, and administrative staff. *Former members may continue. Personnel familiar with Quality Management Systems and accreditation processes may be appointed.

Quality Board Duties

To establish an internal and external quality assurance system for the evaluation and quality improvement of education, research and administrative services in line with the strategic plan and objectives of Gaziantep University, to determine institutional indicators and to carry out the work to be done in this context in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Higher Education Quality Board and to submit these works to our University Quality Assurance Unit.

To carry out internal evaluation studies and to prepare the annual institutional evaluation report containing the results of institutional evaluation and quality development studies and to submit it to the Quality Assurance Unit, to share the annual institutional evaluation report with the public on the website,

  • To make the necessary preparations during the external evaluation process and to provide all kinds of support to the Higher Education Quality Board and external evaluation institutions.
  • To announce the Board's decisions to the relevant departments, programs, and sub-units; to contribute to their implementation and to monitor their results.
  • To follow national and international best practice examples and current approaches regarding the quality assurance system,
  • To ensure the organization of trainings regarding the quality assurance system.
  • Coordinating the preparation of the unit's strategic plan,
  • To regularly measure the level of achievement of the quality targets envisaged in the strategic plan and to ensure their sustainability.

Duties of the Accreditation Board

  • Leads the work required to prepare the Self-Assessment Report during the accreditation process.
  • The accreditation board prepares its reports periodically, evaluates them within the scope of accreditation and continuous improvement, and archives them.
  • Monitors, evaluates and improves accreditation activities.
  • Contributes to the updating of the institution's mission, vision and policies.
  • Responsible for monitoring and archiving events and updating the website.
  • To encourage programs to enter accreditation processes and to support these efforts, to monitor the accreditation processes of accredited programs and to encourage their continuity.
